There is also an adapter available for around $30 US, that fits around a
smaller alkaline cell and regulates it down to a constant 1.35 mercury
cell voltage. It's at: http://www.criscam.com/ , gets expensive for 3
of them in a Luna-pro. but it wouldnt take too many wien cells at 8$
each to justify.

I've heard someplace that the wien cells are good in humid enviornments,
but dont last long in drier climes, don't know if thats accurate or not.
