Hello Mary,

Depending on how you grind and blend your pigments and many other factors
including the source from whence they came,
there are varied qualities that you can exploit in your printing that factory
processed pigments can not deliver.

( Think salsa made with a food processor versus salsa made by hand chopping) : )

There's a great listing of resources in the Post-Factory Journal and without
reaching for a copy I can tell you
that Sinopia in San Francisco is a reliable source for a good range of pigments
to experiment with.
