Epson's 2200 settings equivalence for 2100 European version
Manuel, I don't have the 2100. I do print digital negatives with a 1160 equipped with 3rd party quadblack pigment inks (1 black + 3 shades of gray inks - 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%) @ 1440dpi - obviously; because that's the highest dpi supported by the 1160 - and the results are very nice. So, you can try to print @ 1440dpi - perhaps it will work that way too. I also have a 2880dpi capable 890 and cannot distinguish - with my bare eyes - color prints made @ 1440 and 2880dpi (and 2880 dpi is considerably slower - so I don't use 2880 dpi with that printer too). I understand the dithering pattern may differ in 1440 and 2880 modes but I don't think it will affect the result too much. Another option may be "to lie to the printer". Enhanced Matte and Matte Heavyweight are very close papers - if Matte Heavyweight supports 2880, you can try using that profile. Also, another good place to ask that question is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/digitalblackandwhitetheprint/ there are many "epson printer guru"s there ;)

Hope this helps,
Loris.

Finally Išve bought the Epson 2100 and together with Dan Bourkholder Inkjet Negative Companion Išve tried to make them work together when I realised that the paper settings choices with the 2100 driver are different from the 2200
