I think Judy's point about the zeitgeist is apropos. I am hopelessly
addicted to irony, which became sort of draped on our modern idiom like
Sally Mann's southern moss in the last half of the 20th century.

  Yikes! Does that mean I am po-mo? Somebody tell me, because I might
have voted the wrong way once or twice.
