Devra,
I have a few suggestions:
1) call the polaroid tech suppor center Monday. They
have an 800 # and they were helpful in answer
questions in the past.
2) one of the first things that they will suggestion
is to expose the polaroid file in the jr and process
*normally* to produce a regular polaroid print. This
will assure that you have the right exposure. Then and
only then (once you have the right exposure time) try
doing a transfer using this time. If memory serves the
longer the exposure time the lighter the prints (just
like cibachromes); if you have an extremely short
exposure the image will be darker. Also remember that
yellow is the first color that goes to the polaroid
paper print, so if you want some yellow in your
transfer, you have to pull apart the film relatively
early in the development cycle.
3) are you in the NYC metro area? Polaroid sent me a
notice that K Carr will be at Photo East this week at
the Javitts Center doing a demo. If you could get
there with an example she might be able to diagnose
what's wrong. Her demos are between 10:15 and 11:45.
Even if you miss her, the Polaroid employees will be
there and should be able to give you a solution to
your problem.
Sorry if I've repeated info that you already know.
Please feel free to contact me off list.
