A Very Brief Commercial
Just to let everyone know, Dan Estabrook, a wonderful artist and an
amazing practitioner of alternative processes, will be teaching an
EIGHT WEEK intensive workshop at Penland School of Crafts in North
Carolina, March 14 through May 7, 2004.
This class will combine technical experiments and critical thinking
with the goal of pushing students to develop a new body of work.
Processes will include salt, cyanotype, gum, tintype, and
platinum/palladium, along with toning, negative manipulation, liquid
emulsion, transfers, and collage.
Dan is a meticulous and generous teacher. Penland's workshop format
makes it possible for a motivated student to cover an amazing amount of
ground in a short time.
Complete information and examples of Dan's work can be found at the
Penland website www.penland.org.
