Several people have been posting about various ways of testing the UV
transmission (or effect thereof) on your particular process.
The simplest test or illustration that I can think of is to just use an
unexposed piece of various films in your particular process. Then you will
have essentially the same (visible) density (~ 0.05 or so) of the negative,
but may see dramatic differences in the density of the final image. This
doesn't require step tablets, spectrophotometers, densitometers, etc. I
suspect if you use T-max, you will see a large effect. Of course, this
isn't quantitative, but it will certainly show you the effect of the film
base (not the image density) on your process.
