You are correct. I am using an Mac G4 desktop with 860 (or so) mhz
G4 (single processor), and this unit did not have a native SCSI port.
I have two separate SCSI PCI cards installed. The previous system
(Jaguar 10.2.8) recognized the devices on both cards. Panther
recognized no SCSI devices at all. I changed the system back to
jaguar and everything is working now pretty much as it should.

It will most likely be a long while before I try Panther again, but
any thoughts you might have about the problem would be appreciated.
