In the world of art and photography, people will and can say just about
anything that they think the buying public will believe. Fact checking
something like that would be quite difficult. And more to the point, why
bother. If the viewer of the site can not see past the pretentiousness of
what he is saying, who cares. People will either hire/buy his work or they
won't; some because of the statement but surely whether they think it has
value. If you haven't learned about the propensity of the American
businessman to over state his value and talent, just stick around for a
while.
