Dan,
Are you interested in deep neutral blacks (these always seem to be the
darkest to the eye) or just highest DMAX. Try exposing the print while it
is still slightly humid. After exposure there is a visible shadow detail.
Regular POTA developer. Works for me. On the other hand all it might be
doing is increasing contrast of the mix.
My typical mixture contains palladium with at least some Na2PtCL6.
