At any and all rate, I changed the subject line of the thread to best
reflect the content of my (and Martin's) posting. So that's an
unwarranted criticism. Feel free to change the subject line to
whatever you like, but please don't complain just because my hat
doesn't fit on your head (or feet).

Take that idea for a moment and comment on how similar gelatin and
leather are, and why discussion on one is useful for the other, and to
what extent. (in 250 words)
