Maybe I know nothing but it seems to me making a digital negative
would be easy. Printing a reverse image onto a transparency, cutting
it, throwing it in the enlarger and exposing. Minus various other
stuff like color/bw calibration and .it8 targets, etc it seems pretty
simple.

Maybe i'm missing something.
