Chris, Possibly because the ''light'' is not light in the sense that is
usually thought of but ULTRA VIOLET RADIATION which will penetrate a top coat of
pigment etc.,and work on the sensitized substrate beneath. But, this is all
verbal theory. If it works.... it works!
