Thank you, Joachim,
Yors is the best advice give I tried the 8x power and immediately felt nauseated. Had to return it and settle for my old 4x loupe.
I willlook into the electrice dehumidifier- I coulduse the distilled water from it...

I have used an electric dehumidifier very successfully. I also save the water generated by it and use it as if it were distilled water (It is not quite as good and I would not use it for biologicals, but for my darkroom chemistry I have found the H2O gleaned from the dehumidifier absolutely every bit as good as store-bought distilled water for sensitive alternative process work). A loupe? I found an 8x too sensitive and settled on a 6x for my eyes. You just have to experiment to see what's best for you, from 3x on up. Joachim

Subject: loupes for large format camera use and; humidity levels
Hello all;
I have two queries; what is the best loupe for viewing a large format camera keeping in mind that I wear glasses for far-sightness and astigmatism. (For focusing that is).
And; what is an acceptable humidity level in a new darkroom? I live on the Wet Coast of Canada, can't seem to get it down below 70s'- that is without use for a week- I am a week-end user.
I would appreciate any help,
Susan
