i have some brown bottle sealed Silver Nitrate 5% that I found at a scientific supply company is it of any use

I found a substantial quantity of silver nitrate in a brown glass bottle in
the wonderful 'shed' (now darkroom) attached to my house, not long after I
moved in. That was 18 years ago. The bottle had a very old style telephone
number on it which dates it (before) the early 1960s which was when those
phone numbers changed here in Sydney. The silver nitrate works perfectly
(well, as far as I can tell). I have no idea what it was used for or why
there was so much abandonned in my shed. I will never be able to use it all.
Imagine that! Kind of like a gift from heaven really.

All that is to say that a brown glass bottle works fine.
