Microbanding sometimes is more of a problem with certain media choices.
You might check that. Microbanding is also more likely to occur with
bidirectional printing or, as it is sometimes called, high speed printing.
Printing at less than the highest resolution the printer offers (in this case
2880), can cause microbanding. Choosing Black Ink Only will sometimes cause
microbanding.

The 2200 has a feature in the allignment software that adjusts the gap
between the full width of the printhead nozzles. You can increase or decrease this
gap. This is pretty easy to see if there is a problem, since the
banding is very regular and equal to the width of the print head.

You might try doing an allignment on the substrate/film you are printing
your negatives on.
