Meanwhile I've collected several brands of gelatin. At this moment
I am dealing with Aldrich's 300 bloom, made from swine skin. No idea about
its pH. Hardening is carried out by chrome alum + heat. And yes, the 5mg/g
silane is sufficient to provide good adherence.
