I am trying to make some sense of a formula that states the amount of
gelatin to be used not in grams but in terms of packets of plain Knox
gelatin. Can anyone tell me how much each of the little packets in a
box of Knox plain gelatin weighs? As I recall that information is
either on the box or on the outside of each individual packet.

Sandy

I have a store-branded box of unflavored gelatin that lists one serving
as one envelope with 7 grams as the amount per envelope and 32 envelopes
weighing 8 ounces or 227gm. I've found the amount to vary quite a bit
between envelopes though.
