How do people deal with this problem? (Or is this so dead an issue
that no one wants to talk about it any more?)

1. take a digital photo of the print

2. scan two halves and stitch

3. don't print bigger than 8.5x11 size, or print smaller size just for
   scanning purpose

4? are there service bureaus that can scan 11x14 and 16x20's?

5? does your lab/studio/employer/neighbor/friend own a big scanner?
