The Eternal Archive was Organization of archives

How about using a distributed file network like something along the lines of
Rob Anderson's proposed "Eternity Service" as a backup. Bittorrent or better
yet OceanStore are working examples of how it is now possible to store files
(read: media) indefinitely on the Internet -- assuming the Internet will be
around for a while. In these models data is no longer dependent on one
machine or one disc for storage the task is divided up between hundreds of
machines all over the globe. Just some food for thought.
