Has anyone ever tried the isopropyl alcohol curing
step between albumen coats as mentioned, for example
in James' book? I had been using a warm iron up until
now, but tried the alcohol (with ammonium chloride in
it) on my last batch of paper to see if it would
improve my results. No dice, every image is coming out
mottled. I ran a piece of paper from a previous lot
that was cured with the iron and it seemed to work
fine. Just wondering if someone has used it
successfully and has any experience with trouble
shooting it, otherwise, I'll be back to the ironing
board.

Thanks,

David Barker
