Michael,
1.5 DMAX with 1 coat? Frankly I'm a little skeptical of that value,
especially with Stonehenge (or most any other paper for that mater.) Could
it be that your densitometer is out of calibration?

I get densities around the 1.50 +/- (5-stops) by single coating VDB. This is
to matte Stonehenge paper, no sizing. I find this is DMAX enough. How high
could one expect densities to reach with VDB? 1.8!? Higher?! Surely paper is
a big factor?
