I have the Epson R800 which is the little brother of the R1800--same inks.
It is a great printer but---
The inks are very transparent to UV--I can't get any of Mark Nelson's
color test strip to print DMAX.
The ink is also very expensive in my book--over $1,000 a liter (a
cartridge which is supposed to hold 13 cc is more than $13.)
Just as I had some success with a second party ink the supplier changed
sources so I have to start calibration over again.
So, if you are thinking of diginegs, you probably don't want the Epson
R1800.
