PVA

I thought that it might be helpful if I were to say why PVA is not suitable
for gum printing without a plasticiser,

When I tried Gloy for first tome many years ago, I also tried straight PVA, I
found, especially with acrylics, that it would make a good first coat but not
second and subsequent coats. On trying it again last month we had the same
results. Adding glycerine to the PVA gave us a mixture which allowed multiple
printing.
