It's unnecessary. PVA is generally accepted as a gum. It is not casein or
egg. But I am easy, if there
appears to be an advantage to be gained ithen why not. At the moment I will
stick to gum print !

i have spent the lasst thirty years simplifying these things, simpifying
recipes and methods and avoiding unnecessary complications.

I have never seen the point of the new cyanotype or argyrotype while there is
a far more effective method of making prints from eggs than the temperaprint;
my version works in fine detail and gradation and does not need an
impervious surface but can be used on one if that's what you want.

If it becomes impossible to buy dichromate there are plenty of other ways of
making pictures, but 'impossible' is a tall order.
