I live in London . My understanding of the current situation is that you may
only carry onto the aircraft a clear plastic bag containing only tickets,
passport , money , maybe some medicines- nothing else. According to the
U.K. newspapers the explosive was to be carried as a liquid in a bottle and
triggered by the flash in disposable cameras or other electronic gear. This
is why the severe restrictions on modern technology and even water bottles.
Check with the airline in your country but I would not attempt to bring your
photographic gear as hand luggage. I hope that this helps. Hellena-----
