This is the variable you can change by selecting a suitable
hydrolysate, and, to some extent, average molecular weight.

The less hydrolysed, the more adhesion to yupo (as well as glass,
cellulose, etc.) Less hydrolysed PVA is actually more sensitive to
water, and they are actually more easily removed in water if not
crosslinked.
