Do you or others have any experience with QImage RIP?  I think the Quad Tone
is just for B&W- not color.  I have heard several good responses regarding Q
Image and am trying to figure out which to purchase. Both RIPS are about the
same price.

I’m really not a user of Qimage since:
1) I downloaded the trial version and found the user interface to be quite
irritating to use.

2) I really don't print very much ink jet color.

I know some people swear by the digital interpolation algorithm and for that
reason I may test the product again. Also some QTR users use Qimage to drive
the printer though I've never done that. One product does not replace the
other. QTR is strictly targeted for B&W printing and provides methods for
calibrating different gray only inksets or color inksets. There is also a
way to generate custom ICC profiles for paper and inks. Also QTR supports
certain legacy printers such as the Epson 3000 which is very interesting to
me since they can be purchased comparatively inexpensively now.

I hope that helps answer your questions.

Have you downloaded the trial version?

Don
