Value Added Tax. The Canadian version of this dreaded tax is GST
(Goods & Services Tax). In France it is TVA
(Taxe sur la Valeur Ajoutee), etc.

My_Encyclopedia of Printing, Photographic and Photomechanical
Processes, Vol. 1, pp. 52-3, has a number of references. The most
recent one was published in Paris, in 1979: _A l'origine de la
photographie. Le Calotype au passe et au present_ This 60 page
document was published by the Bibliotheque Nationale as part of an
exhibition. I remember that there was a section on how to do it with
contemporary materials.
