Gum & cyanotype can both be done in an undarkroom, & are both easily learned
without benefit of workshop. A good simple account of both processes is Wm.
Crawford's "Keepers of Light," oft-mentioned on this list. A more encyclopaedic
account is our own L. Nadeau's Dichromate processes book - indispensible! A
previous poster described gum as tedious, but if you have the patience,
the gum process is vastly interesting & rewarding. Also note that gum over
cyanotype is a useful procedure - gives you a nice foundation of density to lay
the gum over.
