I have just returned from a backpacking trip to British Columbia where I
used 4x10 Mido film holders with great success. I did have some problems
with earlier versions of these holder but they seemed to have added
additional felts in the right spots and I had no problems with light leaks.
They are delicate and I have made individual envelopes to ward off dust and
offer the holders a little additional protection.
I would make sure that the clamshell adaptor holds the holders in the right
film plane.
