Well, I did not use tap water, but I didn't use
distilled either. I used a bottled water because I couldn't find a
distilled anywhere. The label says nothing about chlorine, but I
imagine it could be in there.
As for filtering, this is probably what I'll do, but how can I know
the percentage of actual silver nitrate in the solution? Say I weigh
a certain volume of water (2ml) and then way a 2ml solution of silver
nitrate, the difference will be the silver. From there, is it possible
for me to get to the percent solution?

BTW, I'll be mixing up a ferric oxalate solution very soon, and would love
to hear any methods to facillitate the dilution of this chemical.
