Kallitypes and silver nitrate soln

I've done a few kallitypes in my day. I don't consider myself a kallitype
expert, but maybe I can answer your questions. A 10% solution usually means (in the case of silver nitrate) 1 gram of Ag(NO3) per 100 cc of water. You should use distilled water. It may not all disolve right away. Let it sit for a while.
Its not important anyway if you have a few undisolved grains in the bottom. No, don't shake it up before use. Did you use distilled water? Bob Schramm
