Paper for printing

I was wondering what the consensus was with Arches paper.. Does it work
for Pt/Pd printing? I can't seem to get my prints to clear when I use
it for Kallitype printing. I have heard quite a number of people tell
me that it is a good printing paper. Cranes Kid clears without a hitch.

What other papers out there are you people using besides Cranes (Kid, Platino,
Parchmont). Fabriano? Strathmore? I'm looking for a REALLY smooth surface
for my negs where detail is paramount. Since I'm making 4x5 prints, the
weight is not crucial.
