I too have found the Arches paper a bit more difficult to clear. I've
ended up using Kodak Hypo Clear (sodium sulfite, sodium metabisulfite,
sodium citrate, and EDTA in one package). This seems to work pretty well
with Pt/Pd. I just use it at the normal working strength.
