Stanley Greenberg sent me number for Denglass distributors in New Jersey,
whom I called. They are

M&M Distributors, 1/800 526-2302

What customer service said was interesting, but to buy from them you need
a resale number. (I don't have one, but probably know someone who does.
If you want to buy through your school, they have to bill the school,
which means, in my school, transaction would be complete in 21st century.)

Three kinds of glass are available:

1. Denglass, has a bluish hue, is 46% UV proof (whatever that means -- I
guess 56% of the UV remains?). The smallest quantity
M & M sells is a box of 40 11x14 sheets, $291.40 including shipping.

2. Vision 2000 is a new product, sales talk includes "reduced reflection
.. micro etch: no color hues, no special cleaning or outgassing."
BUT NOT UV proof, if that's a major issue. I tried
to get the lady to say which of the 2 glasses would give the least
VISUAL degradation, but that wasn't part of the pitch.

However, the company sells a sample frame with a piece of the Vision 2000
& regular glass for comparison for $20, which is deducted from a
subsequent order. (You do have to have the resale # for that, however.)
Also, there's a $10 rebate on the Vision 2000 for orders postmarked before
July 14.

Price of Vision starts at a box of 18 pieces of 16x20 for $158,
including shipping (to local area).

3. Crystal Vue is an "anti-reflective glass", sells for $207.87 for a box
of 4 pieces 24 x 35 inches. If I stop to do the arithmetic to compare that
with #2 above, the Big Chip will cut me off, but on the face of it
it seems so much more expensive I let it go.

M&M has to date 4 distributors: GGM, in Woodstock Georgia, 404/928-3999,
also
Maryland Glass, Baltimore, 410/727-1050,
and one in York PA and one in Wisconsin.

Yours true vuely,

Judy
