The recent search for information on making carbon tissue had me cruising
through our libraries online catalog. The University of Saskatchewan has
the microfilm series "History of Photography". This is microfilm copy of
original publications on what are now alternative photographic processes.

The U of S catalog is available opnline through the WWW and telnet. To
connect to our library through the www connect to the URL

http://library.usask.ca/

Select the "The Catalogue" link and it will initiate a telnet sesssion to
the online index.

To connect to the catalog by telnet use the address "sundog.usask.ca" a
password should not be necessary.

You can then do a subject or keyword seach. Doing a word search for
"carbon and printing resulted in the following results

You searched for the WORD: carbon and printing USASK
LIBRARIES
25 entries found, entries 1-8 are: CALL #

7 The Carbro process TR15 .H562 1980

Selecting item #2 gives you the following information:

prints in permanent pigments [microform] / by Edward L.

Unfortunately none of these articles are available online (wouldn't that
be wonderful!)

If you find an article you wish to get a copy of contact your local
library to see in they can get it through an interlibrary loan. I
believe this microfim series is available at other libraries. You may
not have to go through the U of S libary.

Hope this is helpful.
