hello all! thanks for all the input on my huge fabric cyanotype project.
last night i finally coated the first (of 5) six foot piece of cotton. when
i mixed up the cyanotype formula it was a really dark green- usually i get
yellow/greenish. i figured something was wrong, but couldnt figure out
what, so i went ahead and coated the fabric. then i was faced with the
prospect of drying it. lying around or even with a hair drier it would
have taken days so (to my housemate's disgust) i stuck it in the drier. it
seemes to have worked- the emulsion is still dark green, and it took a
little cleaning to get the drier useable, but it worked for me. ill tell
you all how the exposure turns out- though i suspect that the dark green
means its already fogged to death.
