Velum as a Pt/Pd printing paper

In response to the suggestion just offered, I just tried clearing the print in
HCL ( 30% solution) diluted 30 mls to one gallon of water. The yellow stain
remains unshaken. I know I have seen velum Pt /Pd prints that were quite
beautiful and translucent in quality without this yellow tinge and velum seems
more durable than other translucent papers such as Bienfang and consequently is
fairly easy to work with. Perhaps it's the particular variety of velum I'm
using??? Any suggestions??
