Sandy is absolutely right. I use a 0,075 mm polyester film better known as
Mylar-D (made by Dow) or Melinex (made by BASF).

You can use it as a temporary support without waxing or as I do print
through the transparent film to make test strips when using the same (pre
sensitized) emulsion with the tissue (for resulting print).
Hot and quick drying has to be strictly avoid or the gelatin cracks and peels
off.
For temporary support I would recomand plexiglass because its more
comfortable to use than the flexible mylar film
