The problem that the Post Office  has with the  duct tape is that it is
worthless on cardboard...  I was actually in a Post Office when a  good size
box  of groceries headed for Puerto Rico let loose.... I am surprised that
the  PO  did not do something sooner...  They  must be  Duct Tape diehards.

It is actually bad tape for most purposes including duct work. The adhesive
dries out and separates from the metallic cloth backing.  .I have seen it
used on electrical wire and it "CONDUCTS ELECTRICITY"!

The best thing  to use duct tape for  is to put it over old duct tape..
