Alt Photo show in Philadelphia
The show is Feb. 15 through April 12, 2009, at the Gershman Y Galleries, 401 South Broad Street at Pine, Philadelphia PA 19147. 215/446-3027. The show is titled SELECTIONS, "Original works from The Book of Alternative Photographic Processes by Christopher James, 2nd Edition." Guest Curated by Sarah Van Keuren. An opening reception with talk by Christopher James was scheduled for Feb 19, but -- the fellow was actually, really, cruelly ,literally snowed in up north at the time, so that event has been rescheduled for Feb. 26. The book itself is humungous, and tho I haven't yet read EVERY word, so far it's the only one of the bunch I haven't found (or heard of) a mistake in. In any event, folks who are not snowed in & can get to Phildelphia before April, are bound to feel amply rewarded.
