Earl,

It is probably your choice of paper. The papers I have had success with
using the Ware Cyanotype are Ruscombe Mills, Bergger  COT 320, and an old
lot of Arches Platine. I got to busy with my vandykes but I believe I have
had success with Coventry Rag Vellum White. I won't be able to do any New
Cyano until May.

I am sure there should be a few replies suggesting acidifying your paper.
The usual suspects for acidifying the paper are HCl, strong acetic acid, and
oxalic acid.

BTW, about a month ago I tested a batch of Ware Cyanotype I mixed in 2006
and it still had great dmax. Take care not to disturb the sediment on the
bottom of the bottle. Just draw up the blue green (not as chartreuse as
classic cyano) solution.
