There are currently just over 400 members, in the past there were over 
600.  There have been many "followers" we used the automated archives to 
follow the list, but were not subscribed.  I don't know how to count 
those.  I always had people contacting me when the archives weren't 
available or up to date.

I think the list would make a good study of long-term social interaction 
online - maybe a combination of a social sciences grant and an art grant 
:)  A show - where list members actually meet could be incorporated into 
the social sciences study :)
