For reference, the canonical thiocyanate/gold toner for albumen prints was:

Sodium thiocyanate ..........................15-20 g
1 % Gold chloride solution ................ 60-80 ml
Water.......................................to make 1 liter

I have used thiocyanate/gold toners, but I much prefer borax/gold 
toners for albumen prints.  A classic formula was:

Borax (sodium borate) ........................... 10 g
1 % Gold chloride solution...................... 40 ml
Water .......................................to make 1 liter
