[alt-photo] Curve creation

Hello folks and happy new year!

I'm re-looking at how I make curves. I've used Charthrob and tried to use
squeeze but just couldn't import the test image so gave up and am looking
at all available options. QTR isn't an option as I'm using a big HP
printer. What curve creation software do you use and why do you like it?
