Just a note on the EDTA - there are two varieties - disodium EDTA which is slightly acidic and tetrasodium EDTA which is basic. The first can be an effective first clearing bath for pt/pd and kallitype because it is acidic - the tetrasodium variety is bad news when used alone and can lock in the ferric forever

This is a great idea. I could easily bring a jug of vinegar into the darkroom and it should be cheaper than a 5lb bag of citric.
