It is correct that the old Hanfstaengl tissues caused problems in the mid-80s,
as the company had no knowledge how to make a carbon or carbro print. The
tissues were stored too long and not frozen, so esp. the magenta was quickly
fogged. Around 1991-92 I helped the company to develop a new set of tissues,
coated on polyester and with an improved grey balance. I do not know if Dr.
Green from Gallery 614 still has them for sale. Here, these tissues are kept
deep frozen until today and could be mail ordered.
BTW, our latest way of processing was much the same as described by Hans
Nohlberg, just developing one image over the other.
