Hi Folks,

I am working on two articles for View Camera Magazine on Amidol and Glycin
as developing agents for both film and paper. (I know its not alt photo but
there have been discussions on pyro going on so I though I would ask). I
have several formulas for each but am looking for more information on these
developing agents. I am not a chemist but would like to present an article
on when these were first used, why they are superior or inferior to the
standard metol/hydroquinnone developers used frequently, and any other
pertaniant facts. I will be glad to credit individuals and or the mailing
list in general for any info I get. Please feel free to e-mail me direct at

Thanks. Tillman Crane
