There is another reason somewhat different from what you have mentioned and
which I have found very handy with several lists. Most support the command
RECIPIENTS BY COUNTRY, which, as its name indicates, provides a list of
subscribers by country. I have found this feature very useful and I use it
a lot with PhotoHist. Every few weeks someone I want to be in touch with
finally joins the net and signs up.

The latter would only show names of those who post however.

You must have a few tricks up your sleeves since this is the most spammfree
list I know of. Other lists are regularly bombarded with junkmail. This one
is so clean it's as if it were monitored...
